Central Indiana Cancer Centers Welcomes Dr. Harold O. Longe
An experienced doctor now specializing in medical oncology and hematology is the newest member of Central Indiana Cancer Centers’ medical team. Dr. Harold O. Longe is now seeing patients at our Fishers location at 10212 Lantern Rd and Greenfield location in Hancock Regional Hospital. Central Indiana Cancer Centers is a leading provider of cancer care with five conveniently located centers. Dr. Longe joins a fully integrated team of 16 doctors specializing in hematology, medical oncology and radiation oncology.
Dr. Longe attended the College of Medicine, University of Ilorin, in Nigeria where he graduated with high honors and was awarded Best Student in Pediatrics, Hematology & OB/GYN. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Woodhull Hospital Program, in Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Longe spent nine years practicing internal medicine in Massachusetts including many years as the attending physician for the Brockton Neighborhood Health Center, winning awards for his public service before beginning his fellowship program. Dr. Longe completed his Fellowship Training, Clinical and Research track in Hematology/Oncology at Boston University School of Medicine & Boston University Medical Center. Despite a hectic clinical and research fellowship schedule, Dr. Longe’s passion for research led him to complete the coursework for a Master of Arts in Clinical Investigation at Boston University School of Graduate Medical Sciences and he will defend his thesis in 2010. Dr. Longe also held academic appointments at Boston College and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Longe’s diverse experience and clinical skills will help the Central Indiana Cancer Centers’ team continue a long tradition of excellent care for Central Indiana patients. His research training and knowledge will also help us continue to push the progress of cancer care through research. Our local team of experts currently participate in over 40 clinical trials through a national network of researchers ensuring patients in Central Indiana have access to the latest therapies.
Dr. Longe and his family now reside in Carmel. His wife is a psychiatrist and they have three children. He is an avid soccer, Colts & baseball fan.
