Radio-pharmacology

Radio-pharmacology is the study and preparation of radio-pharmaceuticals, which are radioactive pharmaceuticals. Radio-pharmaceuticals are used as tracers in the diagnosis and treatment of many diseases. Many radio-pharmaceuticals use technetium (Tc-99m). 31 different radio-pharmaceuticals based on Tc-99m are listed for imaging and functional studies of the brain, myocardium, thyroid, lungs, liver, gallbladder, kidneys, skeleton, blood and tumors.
